Laundry Day

Laundry Day

When we have a sunny and windy (not too strong) day, it's perfect for laundry.  Underwear, t-shirts, shorts, bathing suits, towels are the most used.  (Did you notice:  no socks!

Barefoot or sandals are enough).  It always feels weird for our feet when we start wearing socks and shoes, come the falls season.  I use biodegradable laundry soap, of course.  I keep a big basket in which I soak the laundry for an hour.  Once in a while, I shake the clothes as if my arms and hands work like a washing machine.

I know I'm weird sometimes. LOL!  I rinse the laundry in the lake and wring the water out by hand.  Frank does help with the bigger items.  The lifelines are perfect to hang the clothes.

I started to buy high-quality clothes that washes easily and dries faster.  What a difference!  Frank's cotton t-shirts and cargo shorts (lots of pockets) take a lot longer.  I'll have to work on his wardrobe over the winter. LOL!  Oh! also, we usually aerate the sleeping bag on laundry day.  On the photo, you can see it attached to the headsail sheets (ropes).
